No New Year Baby in MDI Yet

As of 7:15 PM on January 1st, there still is no New Year's Baby at Mount Desert Island Hospital in Bar Harbor. Back in 1998 Ivy Wallace was the New Year's Baby, but she wasn't born until January 8th!

The first baby born in Maine was born at Maine General Hospital at 12:48 A.M. A boy, he weighed 5 pounds, 12 ounces and was 18 inches long.

According to Eastern Maine Medical Center, the first baby born in Bangor was a girl, born at 2:47 A.M. and weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

The first baby born at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth was a boy,  born at 10:43 a.m. weighing 8 pounds, 10.9 ounces, and he was 21 inches long.
