Red Sox centerfielder, less than one year removed from Double A Portland, had a career game on Opening Day at Fenway Park, April 13th as the Boston Red Sox beat the Washington Nationals 9-4.

Betts started his day to remember robbing Bryce Harper of a home run in the top of the first inning. Then in the bottom of the first inning, after reaching first base, and with David Ortiz at bat, stole 2nd and 3rd on the SAME PITCH! After stealing 2nd, he realized with the shift that no one was covering 3rd, popped up and raced to 3rd! Then in the 2nd inning homered off Ryan Zimmerman. Betts ended the day 2-4, with 4 RBI's walking once and scoring 2 runs.
