New York Times best selling author, Nevada Barr is coming to the Jesup Memorial Library on Monday May 23rd at 6:30 PM for an author talk and book signing. Barr has just recently released "Boar Island" which is her 19th Anna Pigeon novel, which is set in Acadia National Park.

The murder/mystery sees Anna Pigeon becoming the Acting Chief Ranger at Acadia National Park where she not only has to solve a murder, but has to stop a stalker and cyber bully threatening the daughter of her close friend.

The New York Times Book Review says "Barr writes with a cool steady hand about the violence of nature and the cruelty of man" and The Boston Globe says "Nevada Barr is one of the best."

Nevada Barr worked for the National Park Service as a park ranger before deciding to wirte full time. She was stationed at parks including Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas and Natchez Trace Parkway in Mississippi.

Books will be on sale at the Jesup on Monday night with a portion of the sales donated to the Jesup. Sherman's Book Store is cosponsoring the event.
