MDI High School Welcomes Brent Barker As New Varsity Baseball Coach

Bunky Dow, the Athletic Director at MDI High School announced that long-time Girls Varsity Basketball Coach, Brent Barker will take over the reins as the Varsity Baseball Coach, for the 2026 season.

Barker replaces Matt Haney, the Principal of MDI High School, who was the Varsity Baseball Coach for the last 4 years.

Brent Barker has been the JV Baseball Coach for twenty-plus years. His experience running a program and his ability to teach the skills and fundamentals were significant factors in my decision to choose him as the next coach. Brent is well-known and liked by these players and will be an excellent replacement for Coach Haney.
