MDI Boys Basketball vs. Washington Academy – January 30 [LISTEN LIVE]

The MDI Boy's Basketball Team will host Washington Academy, Thursday, January 30th in Bar Harbor. It will be Senior Recognition Night.

The game tips-off at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device, beginning with the pregame at approximately 6:40 p.m.

It will be the last regular season home game for Seniors (L-R) James Hanscom, Jarren Biekert, Cal Hodgdon and James Downing.

The Trojans begin the day with a 9-7 record, which puts them in 4th place in the Class B Northern Maine Heal Point Standings. They have 1 game remaining after tonight's game, at Ellsworth on Wednesday, February 5th at 7 p.m.

There is a log-jam in the Heal Point Standings with only 1.5 Heal Points separating 4th place MDI and 7th place Hermon. The Top 4 Teams earn byes with teams 5-12 having to play a play-in game, likely on Wednesday, February 12th. Teams 5-8 will host home play-in games.

Washington Academy begins the day with a 6-8 record, in 16th place in the Northern Maine Class B Heal Point Standings.

This is the only time that MDI and Washington Academy will play in the regular season.
