The MDI Boy's Soccer Team celebrated Senior Day in style, defeating the Hermon Hawks 4-0 on Saturday morning, October 17th in Bar Harbor.

Joe Grubb scored two goals, including the 1st and eventual game winner. Rye Murray had a goal and Nick Ressel had a goal as well. Ryan Bender had an assist.

Kendrew Van Gorder played the first 70 minutes in goal and Andrew Jewett played the final 10 minutes for the Trojans, as the two combined to shutout Hermon.

The following seniors were honored prior to the game: Zakari Charette, Peter Jacobsen, William Miller,  Seth Young, Ryan Bender and Rye Murray

MDI is now 8-4-1 on the season, and play their last regular season home game at Ellsworth on Tuesday, October 20th at 6 PM. MDI is currently in 7th place in the Heal Point Standings

Hermon is 3-8-2 and plays at Foxcroft Academy on Tuesday October 20th at 4 PM. The Hawks are in 12th place, and in the final playoff spot in the Heal Point Standings.
