The MDI Softball Team picked up a much needed win on Thursday afternoon, May 28th in Bar Harbor, defeating George Stevens Academy 10-5. Key to MDI's victory was a solid defensive outing, as the Trojans only committed 2 errors in the game.

Aubrie Boyce pitched a complete game for the win for MDI. She allowed 5 runs, but only 1 was earned. She struck out 7, walked 4 and gave up 7 hits.

Olivia Stevenson took the loss for GSA, allowing 10 runs, 7 earned. She struck out 2, walked 6 and gave up 7 hits.

For MDI Molly Carroll was 2-3 with a double and triple. Cassidy Parady was  2-4 with a double and 2 RBIs. Alaina Duley was 1-4 with 3 RBIs. Ali Bierman was 1-4 with a RBI. Katie Guarino was 1-3.

For GSA, Katrina Limeburner was 3-4 with a double and 2 RBIs. Adreanna Simmons was 1-4, Olivia Stevenson was 1-4, Emma Weed was 1-2 and Emma Pickering was 1-2 with a RBI.

MDI is now 6-9. They will play their final game, Senior Day on Tuesday, June 2nd against Ellsworth at 4 PM. Note that the schedule originally called for a 4:30 start, but it has been pushed up a half hour and will be a 4 PM start.

George Stevens Academy is 4-9. GSA plays host to Central and Bucksport on Friday, May 29th and Monday, June 1st before finishing the season at Deer Isle-Stonington on Wednesday, June 3rd.
