Every Sunday, Townsquare Media airs a public service program called "Maine Concerns." If you haven’t checked it out, you really should! We cover everything from local charitable organizations and their events, to health tips, and more.

This week, we're covering two topics. First, I chatted with Karen Worcester of the Worcester Wreath Company about a very special event being held this Sunday in Columbia Falls. Actually, it starts in Bar Harbor, where Wreaths Across America's 'Christmas They Never Had Tree' is being moved from its former location to a new Veterans' Park in Columbia Falls. The day will culminate with a concert by Lee Greenwood, who will sing 'God Bless the USA' as the tree is lit. The concert is free to Veterans. Listen in as Karen talks about the significance of the tree.

Then, we'll talk about a fun and delicious evening planned for later this month, to benefit two very worthy organizations. Hospice of Eastern Maine helps terminally ill patients and their families deal with end of life, and Pathfinders helps children who are dealing with the loss of a loved one. EMH's Wayne Melanson will talk about the organizations and a fun evening of dessert sampling and bidding on auction items.

To hear more about both of these topics, tune in this Sunday morning for “Maine Concerns,” brought to you by the Townsquare Media News Team.
