This is pretty exciting! While we are dealing with the effects of snow and high winds in Maine, a new life is hatching in Southwest Florida! Check out the live video of the eagle's nest, that's now in it's 5th year. Today, December 29th there was a first sighting of a pip!

What's a pip? According to Google, "When the chick makes the first hole into the egg, it is called a pip and then it slowly enlarges it, until it can leave the egg completely. It can take up to 24 hours for a bald eagle chick to make it's way out of the egg."

So stay tuned! You could be one of the first to see the bald eagle chick!
