Kid’s Guide to MDI

Thanks to the 3rd Grade students at the Conners-Emerson School in Bar Harbor, there's a brand new website, for children coming to Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park, written by children who live on Mount Desert Island!

Under the direction of Caroline Gibbons Fournier, Abbie Plaskov, and Marianne Tripp, the 3rd Grade Class "read, researched, planned, went on field trips, held interviews, took pictures, and WROTE, WROTE, WROTE!"

There are dropdowns for Restaurants, Places to Stay, Activities and Shops in About Town. Under Acadia, there are dropdowns for Hiking, Tidepools, Views, Birding and a Bar Island Scavenger Hunt! Finally under History, there are dropdowns for Scavenger Hunt, Need to Know! and Imagine.
