According to 'The Outhouse' Horror Film Audition Page on Facebook, the production is looking to fill several different roles.
"Come join us in Bangor on September 20th as we continue Auditions for Northern Maine's Horror Feature 'The Outhouse'. Looking for males and females ages 18 - 30
previous acting experience is recommended but not required."
Justin Taggett, Director, creator, and co-writer of the movie "The Outhouse" says is a film with many layers.
"It's a 90s-style creature feature/ monster slasher with a modern twist and a heavy story about family trauma and mental health...We live in a world now where we know that getting help and talking about our issues helps, but for a lot of sheltered people and kids it's not so easy and this film explores the emotional and very physical impact of burying traumatic events and then how an external horror helps push them to overcome those events and survive and be a stronger person."
Tagget says he's looking for actors who are comfortable in their own skin, and able to be vulnerable on screen.
"We will have sides to read and we also encourage auditioners to bring monologues if they wish to."
Auditions are going to be at noon at 4 Union Street Plaza, Suite 28 on the 2nd floor.
