Update from the Maine State Police as of 7:30 PM Thursday evening:

"33-year-old Garrett Littlefield of Alfred was apprehended in Bridgton a short time ago. He has been transported to a local hospital for evaluation and will then be transported to the Cumberland County Jail. MSP is currently gathering and verifying all of the information involved in this case and will release a formal statement tomorrow afternoon."

Authorities are asking folks to be on the lookout for someone they believe was involved with the theft and subsequent crash of a vehicle in Cumberland County.

Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesperson, Shannon Moss, says troopers are looking for this man:

"The Maine State Police is actively searching for 33-year-old Garrett Littlefield of Alfred. Littlefield has multiple felony warrants and has been eluding police all day. He was last seen crashing a stolen vehicle, a blue 2014 Ford F-150 off of Rt. 121 in the area of Hemlock Lane in Casco near the Raymond town line. "

Earlier this year, authorities arrested Littlefield and another individual for other crimes, but not before they managed to jump out of a moving vehicle to elude capture. According to Fox23, the pair fled on foot but were ultimately apprehended by police a little while later.

"Littlefield was charged with eluding a police officer, aggravated criminal mischief, violations of condition of release, and unlawful possession of meth."

That was in March of 2024.

This latest round of charges is new.

Moss says authorities are asking people not to approach Littlefield if he is spotted, and to instead contact 911 immediately.
