
Maine Agents Seize $36K In Illegal Drugs From Ellsworth Hotel
Three people are facing charges after a traffic stop and search of an Ellsworth hotel room nets $36K in illegal drugs.
Maine Police Arrest 3 People for Aggravated Drug Trafficking
The suspects in this case are:
- George Pickard, 35, of Franklin, is charged with aggravated trafficking of fentanyl and cocaine. Pickard had been released on probation for aggravated trafficking before this arrest. No bail is set, and he is being held on a probation hold.
- Kathryn Christensen, 32, of Gouldsboro, is charged with aggravated trafficking of cocaine HCL, cocaine base, and fentanyl. At the time of her arrest, Christensen was free on 2 sets of bail, which included unlawful possession of methamphetamine, cocaine base, and oxycodone, and for violation of conditions of release. No bail allowed.
- Sharod Nudes, 46, of Lewiston, is charged with aggravated trafficking of cocaine, cocaine base, and fentanyl. No bail allowed.
Maine Drug Enforcement agents have been watching a hotel in Ellsworth as a possible link to a drug distribution network operating throughout Hancock and Washington Counties.
Maine Police Arrest a Gouldsboro Man Allegedly With Drugs During a Traffic Stop
As a result of that investigation, Maine State Police conducted a traffic stop on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle being operated by Pickard. Under the conditions of his probation, Pickard and his bike were searched.
Officials seized:
- 179.2 ggw (gross gram weight) of suspected cocaine HCI
- 188.1 ggw of fentanyl
- $6,465,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
He was taken to the Hancock County Jail without incident.
Maine Officials Say an Ellsworth Drug Investigation Netted over $36K in Drugs
After that arrest, the Ellsworth Police obtained a search warrant for the hotel Pickard had just left.
Seized in that search were:
- 11.8 grams of fentanyl
- 10.7 ggw of cocaine base (crack)
- 49.1 ggw of cocaine
- Approximately $6,465 in suspected drug proceeds
Officials say the estimated street value of the total drugs seized in this operation is over $36,000.
More arrests are expected in this investigation
