Wildfire Smoke Expected To Return To Maine This Week
Despite the fact that it has been on on-going issue since late spring, it has been a few weeks since we have really had to deal with the smoke from those Canadian wildfires.
Well, it looks like the smoke will return to Maine, and the other New England states, early this week.
According to WCSH 6, wildfire smoke returned to the Great Lakes region over the weekend and it is expected to make its way to Maine the first of this week.
The National Weather Service has reportedly issued an air quality alert for New York state and Northern New England.
According to the WCSH 6 article, most of Maine will see moderate particle pollution through most of the day on Monday. And, on top of that, heavier smoke levels are expected in the State of Maine on Tuesday.
Clearly, if you are affected by air quality please take the needed precautions and limit your physical activity.
We will continue to keep an eye on the wildfire smoke situation and will keep you as updated as we can.
