The Most Googled Fast Food Restaurant in Maine Surprised Me

Even those of us who proudly proclaim that we cook all of our meals at home occasionally go out to eat.  Often, when we do, it is at a fast food chain restaurant.

Even though they are not as affordable as they once were, they are still more affordable than most sit-down restaurants.  On top of that, they are quick and easy.

What is the most popular fast-food restaurant in Maine?  What is the most searched-for fast food eatery in Maine?

According to World Population Review, the most popular fast food chain is Chick-fil-A.  That really did not surprise me all that much.  Personally, I have never had a meal from Chick-fil-A (since Sunday is the day that I normally go out to eat, it is not an option), but everyone that I know who has had a meal there loves the place.

What about the most searched-for restaurants?

According to World Population Review they are:

#3 - Starbucks - Honestly, I would have expected one of the coffee shops based in New England to appear on the list rather than a chain from Washington State. However, I suspect the chain’s popularity is due to its seasonal offerings.

#2 - McDonald's - As the king of fast food restaurants, this does not surprise me that much.

#1 - Dominos - The iconic pizza place topping the list did come as a surprise, but it does make a lot of sense.  Ordering through the chain's website makes getting a pizza delivered (or ready for pickup) super easy.  Unless you have the website stored as a bookmark, there is a good chance you Google it each time you order.
