High Wind Watch For DownEast Maine

Forget the snow in Coastal Hancock and Washington Counties, we are going to have to watch out for lots of wind Thursday evening into Friday morning. To that extent the National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch for Coastal Hancock and Washington Counties including Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, Blue Hill, Eastport, Machias and Cherryfield.

The National Weather Service is predicting winds out of the Southeast 30 to 40 miles per hour with gusts up to 60 miles per hour possible. Winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible.
