Hermon Nips MDI 3-2

The Hermon Softball Team nipped MDI 3-2 in a game played in Hermon on Tuesday, May 12th. MDI led 2-0 until Hermon scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th to win the game.

Haley Littlefield took the tough-luck loss for MDI allowing 3 runs, none of which were earned. She struck out 4, walked 1 and gave up 3 hits.

Karli Therberge won the game for Hermon, allowing 2 runs, both unearned, on 4 hits. She struck out 5 and walked 1.

For MDI Darcy Kanu was 1-3 with a double. Avalon Kerley was 1-3, Cassidy Parady was 1-3 and Katie Guarino was 1-3.

For Hermon Karli Therberge was 1-2, Hailey Perry was 1-3 with a double and Laura Zenk was 1-2.

MDI is 5-6 on the season, and will play host to Hermon next Tuesday, May 19th at 4:30 PM. Hermon is now 4-2 and play at Ellsworth on Thursday May 14th and then travel to Presque Isle on Saturday, May 16th for a doubleheader against the Wildcats.
