Fresh off their game on Tuesday, when Maine Maritime Academy defeated Bates and Kyle Haslam scored a goal, the Mariners were back in action in Vermont playing Johnson State and came away with a 3-2 victory in overtime, with Kyle Haslam scoring two goals, including the golden goal in overtime!

Sean Springer collected Drew Steady's pass and buried it in the lower right corner to beatMarshall Spear (Rockport, Maine).  Johnson went ahead in the 74th minute when Corey Chase headed home a Spring cross to give the hosts a 2-1 lead.

It didn't hold up.

Jonathan Reeks (Bedford, N.H.) got the equalizer on a breakaway in the 82nd minute to force the extra time. It was his seventh goal of the season.

Spear came up with one of his two saves in the contest in overtime. His counterpart, Alex Pakatar turned away 10. The Mariners fired 25 shots in his direction and held a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks. Johnson fired off eight shots in the game.
