A Hancock County man is being held without bail after being indicted for possession of child pornography.

According to the Ellsworth American, 65-year-old Jack Palmer of Winter Harbor is accused of possessing one or more sexually explicit photos or images of children under the age of 12. Palmer has pleaded not guilty to the charge. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison, and a fine of up to $250,000.

Also, if convicted, Palmer would be required to turn over to the courts any property used in the offense, including computer equipment.
