Governor Paul LePage has directed the United States flag and the State of Maine flag to be flown at half staff immediately until sunset on Tuesday, July 19th in respect to the victims of the terrorist attack on Bastille Day, Thursday, July 14th in Nice, France.

According to the press release Governor LePage stated "Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the victims who were killed or injured in this senseless and horrific terrorist attack on one of our allies. We were heartbroken to hear of the American father and his young son from Texas who were among the victims in the attack. Ann (Governor LePage's wife) and I send our condolences and pray for all those affected by this tragedy."
