Fundraiser for Cait Kelly This Sunday

On Sunday, May 24 from 11:00-3:00 there will be a fundraiser, held at the American Legion Hall Post 207, 163 Bar Harbor Road in Trenton, for Cait Kelly. Cait was diagnosed several months ago with breast cancer. She is just 32 years old.

Cait’s boyfriend is John Reeves of Trenton. Cait and John are a couple that is just beginning their life together. Now life has thrown them a curve.

In the Maine tradition of neighbor helping neighbor, this fundraiser is being held to not only raise funds to help Cait as she battles cancer, but to also be a show of support to her as she takes the necessary steps to get her strength and health back. A public Facebook Event page “Cure for Cait” has been set up to allow people to learn about some of the items in the auctions, more info about Cait and how they can help. Cait and John’s story can also be found on the FaceBook page. There will be silent, Chinese and live auctions.. There will be 50/50 raffles hourly. Hot dogs, chips, soda, water and home-made desserts will be available for sale. There will also be a pie table with numerous varieties for sale!

Free snacks will be available for as long as they last.

Please take a little time from your busy lives to stop by. You will find some great deals in the auctions and help out a friend at the same time!

Monetary donations are also being accepted at the Bar Harbor Bank and Trust branch, located at 12 High Street in Ellsworth (04605). If you wish to donate, please make checks out to Cure for Cait. You can also stop by any branch and mention Cure for Cait and make a donation.
