Travelers Downeast on Monday morning, February 24th should be aware that the National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement this morning about the freezing fog and reduced visibility.

Visibility will be reduced to less than a 1/4 mile at times Downeast. Some patchy black ice may make roads slippery. Motorists are advised to travel with caution and use your headlights.

The fog should burn off and we can expect sunny skies with temps in the 40's this afternoon
