Ellsworth School Board Meeting Postponed Again

The once postponed Ellsworth School Board meeting, originally rescheduled to Thursday night has been postponed again.

The Ellsworth School Department sent out the following press release Thursday afternoon

The agenda for this evening’s meeting included as its primary item “Discussion and Consideration of Fall Athletics.”  As communicated when we postponed the Board meeting on Tuesday evening, we anticipated receiving updated guidance for school sports from the Maine Principals’ Association and State agencies earlier today.   However, as of 2:15 p.m. this afternoon, that guidance has yet to be released to school departments.
So that administration may review the revised guidelines and finalize a recommendation and that the Board may review, properly discuss, and consider the recommendation, we are postponing the meeting until Friday, September 11, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held in City Council Chambers, broadcast on the city public access channel and streamed live over Facebook.
