The Ellsworth Eagles traveled to Hermon to take on the Hawks on Thursday, September 15th and traveled back Route 1A in a good mood after defeating them 2-1.

Ellsworth scored first to take a 1-0 lead when Bradly Smith found the back of the net with an assist by Trent Goodman.

It remained that way until Goodman scored with just 23 seconds remaining in regulation.

Ellsworth had 3 shots on net the entire game, while Hermon had 4 shots.

Ellsworth is now 4-1 and will play John Bapst at the University of Maine on Tuesday, September 20th at 4 PM.

Hermon is 1-3-1 and will play host to Foxcroft Academy on Tuesday, September 20 at 6 PM.
