Ellsworth Boy’s Soccer Loses 2-1 in PK

The Ellsworth  Boy's Soccer Team lost 2-1 in penalty kicks in the prelim match against Foxcroft Academy at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth on Saturday afternoon, October 22nd.

Ellsworth took a 1-0 lead when Trent Mahon found the back of the net with 35:05 left in the 1st Half.

Ellsworth took that lead into the 2nd Half, until Foxcroft Academy tied the score with 16:44 left in the 2nd Half.

The two teams battled through two overtimes and then needed the game to be decided by penalty kicks.

It took 15 penalty kicks a piece before Foxcroft Academy emerged victorious.

Ellsworth ends the season with a 8-6-1 record. Foxcroft Academy advances to play Presque Isle, the 4th seed on Tuesday, October 25th in Presque Isle.
