In the battle of Eagles, the Ellsworth Eagles Boy's Soccer Team defeated George Stevens Academy 4-0 in Blue Hill on Tuesday Afternoon. It's Ellsworth's 3rd consecutive shutout!

Ellsworth scored on a penalty kick by Dagan Berenyi with 37:45 remaining in the first half.  Less than a minute later, it was 2-0 when Colby Clarke found the back of the net, with an assist from Trent Goodman.

Ellsworth made it 3-0 when Alex Braley scored with 16:51 left in the 1st Half, and Berenyi scored his 2nd goal of the afternoon with an assist from Alex Braley with 13:24 left in the half.

Bruce St. Peter was in goal for Ellsworth and recorded the shutout with 6 saves. Cameron Gordon was in goal for George Stevens Academy in the first half and had 3 saves. Julian Lindholm relieved Gordon and was in goal for the second half and recorded four saves.

Ellsworth now 4-0, will play at MDI on Thursday, September 17th at 6 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and on WDEA Internet Radio. George Stevens Academy is 1-2-1 and plays at Dexter on Thursday, September 17th at 4 PM.
