A dog that was rescued from a burning camper in Belfast has died, according to the dog's owner.

Sterling, a 3-year-old Lab mix, was motionless when fireman Frank Short pulled him from the structure.

Rescuers resuscitated Sterling using an oxygen mask and took him to a local veterinary hospital for treatment.

The dog's owner says Sterling died of smoke inhalation.

He plans to bury the animal on Thursday.
