Craig Dead at 78

Yvonne Craig, best known for her portrayal as Batgirl in the series Batman, passed away on Monday, August 18th at the age of 78 after fighting a battle with breast cancer.

Craig who played Commisioner Gordon's daughter, Barbara, a librarian by day and crimefighter at night, starred in the the 3rd year of Batman back in the 1960s. Craig was a talented ballet dancer and had a successful television career after she hung up her cape on Batman.
