Mother Nature will provide the entertainment this Saturday and Sunday night!

Find yourself somewhere outside and dark this weekend, because the aurora borealis will be active.  Normally, the borealis occurs well north of us in places like the Arctic and northern Canada, but chances are this Saturday night/early Sunday morning, and then again early Sunday night, folks in upstate New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and most of Maine will be able to see this natural phenomenon.

NOAA has a great Aurora 3-Day Forecast site that can give you a pretty good clue as to when the best time will be to view the northern lights here in Maine.

The National Weather Service is calling for mostly clear Saturday night here in Maine, although Sunday night will start out that way as well, with clouds and rain moving in as the night continues.
