Bucksport Advances to Semis

The Bucksport Girl's Soccer team punched their ticket to the semifinals on Saturday, October 29th at 1 PM, with a 3-1 victory over the Central Red Devils at Bucksport on Wednesday, October 26th.

Bucksport received 2 goals from Hannah Ashmore, the first coming in the first half with 8:14 remaining, with an assist from Cassy Coombs. Ashmore's 2nd goal came in the 2nd Half, with 23:13 remaining, this time with the assist from Belle Cyr.

Bucksport received an insurance goal from Tine Hjelle with 11:28 remaining when she dribbled through the Central defense before finding the back of the net.

Central scored their lone goal from a penalty kick by Emma Campbell with just 15 seconds remaining in the game.

In goal, Bree Coombs had 9 saves on 9 shots. Central's Rachel Smith had 8 saves on 15 shots.

Bucksport, now 10-4-1 will take on the number 1 seed Orono, Saturday, October 29th at 1 PM. Orono is 11-1-3
