The Boston Red Sox simply cannot put a streak together. Saturday afternoon they were beaten by the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1. Stop me if you have heard of any of these guys who beat the Sox - Matt Andriese, Jake Elmore and Rene Rivera.

The rookie pitcher Andriese held Boston bats to one hit and no runs for six innings.

Elmore and Rivera, the 8th and 9th place hitters, smacked home runs that accounted for three of The Rays four runs.

Sox lefty Wade Miley actually deserved a better fate - he gave up just two runs in 6.1 innings.

The Sox now fall nine games behind first place Tampa Bay.

It was a 70's throwback game with teams wearing 1970's uniforms...Check this out...
