Bangor homeowner called 911 to report that at least three men were attempting to break into her home and had smashed a window around 1 PM Tuesday. The woman said she had startled the suspects and they immediately ran from the scene on foot.

Dispatchers were able to relay the descriptions to Bangor Police Officers in the area. A short time later Officer Dan Sanborn spotted individuals matching the description running across the Bangor Municipal Golf Course. Sanborn intercepted the suspects and he and Officer David Farrar took the suspects into custody.

Officer Jason Linkletter and K9 Lex were able to locate clothing believed to be left by the suspects in the vicinity of the burglary.

Two 16-year-old boys and one 17-year-old boy were interviewed at the Bangor Police Department. It's possible there's a fourth individual that has still not been identified. As a result of the investigation, officers have received information that may solve at least three more recent residential burglaries.

The juveniles are each be charged with Attempted Burglary and Criminal Mischief.
