Flesh-eating zombies will join the ghosts who reportedly haunt Fort Knox in Prospect for this year's Fright at the Fort.

The event, now in its 13th year,  will take place Friday, Oct. 19 to Saturday, Oct. 20 and Friday, Oct. 26 to Saturday, Oct. 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is $10 per person ($5 for those 12 and under.)

Fireworks, sponsored by the Friends of Fort Knox, are scheduled for Oct. 20 at 9:30 p.m. The show will be visible from the Bucksport waterfront. Also on Oct. 20, Northeast Historic Film and the Alamo Theatre will present The Shining, starting at 10 p.m.

Oct. 26 is Pirate Night at the Fort, with the Pirates of the Dark Rose making a cameo appearance, and on Oct. 27,  Northeast Historic Film and the Alamo Theatre will present The Rocky Horror Picture Show at 9:30 p.m.

Organizers are looking for volunteers to help with the event, whether it be to dress as a ghoul, lead a tour or make sure everyone has a safe experience at the Fort.
