It looks like Frankie MacDonald is right, as the National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Thursday Afternoon through Friday Afternoon for Downeast, Northern and Central Maine.

The National Weather Service is calling for snow accumulation of 9 to 12 inches along with ice accumulation of two-tenths of an inch. In addition to the heavy snow, strong winds will lead to blowing snow with whiteouts on Friday.

Power outages are possible along the coast Thursday night into Friday.

Stay tuned, as the track of the storm is key, and we will have the latest updates here.
