Here's a great event to enjoy and support the SPCA of Hancock County all at the same time!

The Wine & Whiskers Benefit and Auction will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, at Sweet Pea’s Farm in Bar Harbor. Make your reservations now!

The cost is $75 a person, which includes passed hors d’oeuvres, various food stations highlighting locally grown and sourced produce and food with wine pairings.  The menu includes wood-fired pizza, local oysters and mussels, artisan cheeses and organic produce and meats. There will be live music and a cash bar.

All of the proceeds from the event will directly support the operation of the SPCA’s animal shelter!

“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” said Michele Croan, an SPCA board member and chair of the non-profit organization’s events committee. “We are so thrilled Matt Gerald and his staff at Sweet Pea’s Farm wanted to host the event for us.  We have also worked hard to keep the ticket prices down so more animal lovers can attend.”

Live and silent auctions will be featured within this "tented event."  Some of the items to be auctioned include a ski vacation at the Whistler Fairmont in British Columbia, an all-inclusive stay at the beachfront Hilton Papagayo in Costa Rica, a 5-day stay at the famed W Barcelona in Spain, a week at beautiful Villa Martini in Bali, a romantic getaway to wine country in Napa Valley, Ca., a private catered cocktail party in your home, dinners at local restaurants, pet-sitting and pet photography services, and artwork by local artists.
