The Boston Red Sox start their regular season on Monday, April 6th, which is just 11 days from today. It looks more and more probable that Koji Uehara, their projected closer won't be ready for Opening Day, and will likely start the season on the disabled list!

Koji has been limited to just three appearances this Spring, as he is battling a tight hamstring, and the innings he has pitched haven't been stellar. Uehara last pitched in a game 12 days ago, on March 14th.

In late October, 2014 the Red Sox signed Uehara to a two year deal worth 18 million dollars If Uehara isn't ready for opening day, it's expected that Edward Mujica will assume the role of closer.
