In the Battle of the Sox, Game 1 went to Chicago, as the White Sox beat the Red Sox on Monday, May 29th, Memorial Day 5-4. The Red Sox now have lost 2 in a row.

Monday's game marked the season debut of David Price. He pitched 5 innings allowing 2 hits, 3 runs all earned and struck out 4 and walked 2. The big hit was a 3 run homer by Jose Abreu.

Speaking of Jose Abreu, he and Dustin Pedroia collided in a play at 1st base in the top of the 1st inning. Pedroia went sprawling, landing hard on his wrists. He played an inning defensively, then was removed from the game. The news doesn't sound good, as ESPN was reporting he was flying back to Boston to have a MRI done on his left wrist.

The Red Sox offense only managed 4 hits, 2 of which were by Mookie Betts, who hit a double and his 8th home run of the season.

The Red Sox play Chicago Tuesday night in the 2nd game of the 3 game series and 2nd game of the 10 game road trip. The pregame starts at 7:25 with the 1st pitch at 8:10 on AM 1370 WDEA.
