Watras Named Big East Female Player of the Week

Congratulations to MDI Senior Julia Watras who was named the Big East Female Player of the Week in voting conducted by the Big East Coaches for Week 1.

The Trojans had 3  games December 7th - 15th, all wins. During the week, Watras had 53 points, 36 rebounds, 7 steals and 7 assists.

Watras scored 15 points in the opening night 57-50 victory over Old Town, 21 points in the Trojan's victory at Dover Foxcroft on December 12th and 17 points in MDI's victory at Oceanside

MDI was scheduled to play at Washington Academy on Monday, December 17th but that game was postponed and will be made up on Thursday, December 20th. The Torjans will also play home to John Bapst on Friday, December 21st at 7PM. Both of those game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device
