The #6 seeded Waterville Panthers defeated the #11 seeded MDI Trojans on Wednesday afternoon, June 8th by the score of 2-1, ending the Trojans' season in a Class B Prelim Playoff Game. MDI ended the season with a 8-9 record.

MDI jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning. Ezra Johnson led off the game with a double and advanced to 3rd base on a wild pitch.  He scored on Riley Swanson's single.

Waterville tied the score 1-1 in the bottom of the 1st inning. Andrew Roderigue hit a triple and scored on Justin Wentworth's sacrifice fly to center field.

MDI only was able to muster 3 hits the rest of the game. Mac Shea had a single in the 4th inning, Seth Young a single in the 5th inning and Riley Swanson a double in the 7th inning. Young was thrown out at the plate in the 5th. Swanson was stranded at 3rd in the 7th.

Waterville scored the winning run in the bottom of the 6th inning. Roderigue singled, stole second and socred on Adam Barre's single.

Dylan Collin pitched well for the Trojans in the loss. He allowed only 4 hits, striking out 2 and walking 2 batters in 6 innings.
