The Warden Service is working to determine who has been leaving buckets of used adult diapers in the woods. It's not only illegal, but chemicals in the diapers could be hazardous to fish and wildlife.

Warden Kris MacCabe says 16 of the bright orange Home Depot buckets were found in the past two months in Farmington and Wilton while more were found by a resident who disposed of them himself. He says the buckets are impossible to trace because Home Depot sells thousands of them.

In addition to the waste, MacCabe says the diapers contain chemicals that could be harmful to fish and wildlife. Anyone with information is asked to call the warden service.
