Former MDI Trojan Ben Walls pitched a complete 7 inning game, facing just 24 batters as the Husson Eagles defeated the Norwich Cadets 3-1 in the opening game of the doubleheader at Husson on Saturday, March 25th. Husson lost the 2nd game 7-3.

Walls needed just 64 pitches, allowing only 3 hits and giving up 1 earned run. He struck out 3 and walked 1. Walls is now 3-0 with a 3.00 ERA

Former Ellsworth Eagle Conor Maguire batted leadoff and played left field. In the 1st game he was 2-3 with 2 runs scored. He had a triple and RBI.

In the 2nd game Maguire was 1-3 with a stolen base. He scored a run and walked once.

Husson is now 5-5 and will play host to Bates on Tuesday, March 28th at 4 PM.
