Bar Harbor Town Manager Cornell Knight announced today, Thursday, July 20th, that the 2nd Ferry Terminal Visioning Session scheduled for Monday, July 24th at the Conner Emerson School in Bar Harbor has been postponed.

According to Knight's statement provided to us, there were 3 reasons behind the postponement

  1. To give more time for the consultant to process the questionnaires, of which about 100 had been received.
  2. To give the Town Council time to consider the interest group approach mentioned at the last Council meeting
  3. A request has been made to the Department of Transportation for an extension on the Option Agreement to provide for more time for planning and public meetings.

A new date for the Visioning Session has not been set. There will be an update at the next Town Council Meeting on August 1st.
