Two men escaped injury when the float plane they were flying in flipped over this week. Officials say a combination of conditions caused the accident.

ABC 7 reports that the pilot, 52-year-old Kenneth Comfort of Palmyra, was attempting to land on a lake in Hartland when the aircraft hit a wave. A gust of wind caught the plane, causing it to flip over.

Officials say a witness used a pontoon boat to rescue Comfort and his 27-year-old passenger, Thad Rines, also from Palmyra. Neither man was hurt in the crash.
