A high school and middle school are no longer in 'lock-in' mode. The safety precaution was put into place earlier today after officials were notified of a questionable Facebook post.

WLBZ-TV reports Lake Region High and Middle Schools in the town of Naples are no longer in what they call a 'lock-in' mode. When that precaution is taken, the students are able to move around the school freely but are required to stay inside the building.

Superintendent Alan Smith said in a letter to parents that the High School's Principal was alerted early this morning to a Facebook post that caused concern of safety to the students and staff. Due to the nature of the post, the 'lock-in' mode was enacted. Students are able to go to classes but must stay inside the building. The Middle School was also placed in a safety mode because of its proximity to the high school.
