The entire state of Maine becomes very colorful in the fall but these two travel paths will get you some of the best leaf peeping in the state according to this article.

Number 3 of 15 is Portland to Acadia on Coastal US Rt. 1. This drive boasts views of lighthouses, rocky ocean shorelines and old but beautiful mansions. The article suggests stopping for a lobster roll along the way and a hike in Acadia at the end of your drive.

Number 6 of 15 is The Moosehead Lake Region beginning at The Forks. Continue along Rt. 201 to Canada for a deep woods experience or head straight to Moosehead Lake. A hike at Moxie Falls is suggested as well as booking a moose safari!
