Two Arrested on Drug Charges After New York Cab Stopped in Maine
Two men are facing drug charges after the New York cab they were riding in was stopped for speeding in Maine. Both men are from out of state.
WABI-TV reports that police stopped the cab early Tuesday morning on Stillwater Avenue in Old Town. 19-year-old Jeremy Cruzado of New York and 27-year-old James McCausland of Vermont had hired the taxi in New York to bring them to Maine.
Prosecutors say a search of the cab turned up 1,900 bags of heroin. The men are due in court today for a bail hearing.
