A day after blasting the Boston media Red Sox pitcher David Price had to stand in front of that media and explain his bad outing in a Yankees 9-1 win in the series finale.

Price lasted just five innings and gave up six runs. He also walked four.

Gary Sanchez ripped two home runs and five RBI.

Meanwhile, the Sox offense was stagnant again, just four hits.

The Yanks take two of three in the series and now lead the AL East by three games.

The Boston Red Sox return home to Fenway Park on Friday, and start a weekend series with the Detroit Tigers. Dustin Pedroia is expected to be reinstated from the disabled list prior to the game.
