Trojans Finish 3rd

It looked like the MDI Trojans were going to have a bye after the Winslow Black Raiders scored with 44.7 seconds remaining in the 4th quarter, and kicked the extra point, to take a 21-18 lead over the Waterville Purple Panthers, but Waterville scored with 24 seconds left in the game on a 37 yard pass play, to defeat the Winslow Black Raiders 25-21 on Saturday afternoon October 27th.

Winslow lost for the 1st time on the season, and Winslow and Waterville both finished the regular sesason at 7-1. Winslow finished in first place because of the Crabtree Points and Waterville finished 2nd.

That means that MDI will host Old Town, Friday night, November 1st in a rematch of Friday night's game, that the Trojans won 42-22. The winner of that game, will play at Waterville on Saturday, November 9th. In the other playoff game on Friday night, it will be Foxcroft Academy playing Belfast, with the winner taking on Winslow in the semi-finals on Saturday, November 9th.
