Tracie Martin Honored

If you are at all familiar with high school sports in Hancock County, you know Tracie Martin, at least by sight. She's a basketball and soccer referee as well as a softball umpire, and if you draw her in one of your games, you are very lucky. She's also a teacher at Narraguagus High School.

In 2013 . Martin received the Secondary Physical Education Teacher of the Year award. She is an inductee to the 2006 New England Basketball Hall of Fame as an Official. She was honored as a 2007 UNUM Provident Starting 6 Educators Hall of Fame Inductee, and in 2001 was a recipient of the Section One Distinguished Active Official Award. And most recently, she was honored as the 2015 Unsung Heroine in Women's Sports Award.

She is a role model, not only for today's young women, but for all student athletes. Congratulations to Tracie, on another honor, so richly deserved
