Tip A Cop Raises A Lot of Dough [PHOTOS]

Monday August 6th was unbearably hot but that didn't stop a determined crew of local law enforcement personnel from serving dinner to a full restaurant at Pat's Pizza in Ellsworth for Tip-A-Cop with all the proceeds going to the Maine Special Olympics.

My wife Bonnie and I went down, and had an excellent meal. Retiring Detective Dotty Small was our waitress and she was moving so fast and doing such a great job, you would have thought that she was auditioning for a job post-Ellsworth PD.

Combined tips were $1605.74 and once Pat's makes their usual donation, the total collected should be over $2000
